Though you’re not coming
Music playing loud but
I’m not hearing any
She says “another time then”
But I don’t go in
Never left the armchair
But I’m there in spirit
We frequent the same and pretend we don't
Preferring in practice to stand alone
I'm surprised that I was the last to know
Find one, invest and then let it go

To get some relief

To save her some grief
Took a new direction
Avoiding her street
